The Community Redevelopment Agency has also set aside funding to update the North Side of Lake David Park. The area where the gazebo is currently located will be transformed into a Great Lawn with a stage for performances, festival streets, and a boardwalk.

New Parks

After years of hard work and many recommendations by the Recreation Advisory Committee, the City Council has approved a new park which will be located on 40 acres on Wilson Lake Parkway. Phase I of the project is underway and construction is tentatively slated to begin in February of 2019. Check back for updates.
