Background

The City of Groveland, Florida is experiencing a tremendous level of growth within its service area.  Due to this unprecedented growth, the City is in the process of on-boarding additional firefighters over the next month with little to no additional existing station space.

The City is in need of a temporary station site with the capability of construction of temporary facilities for the additional firefighters or a site with existing facilities that may be adapted to the use stated here.  Initial needs are projected as follows:

  • Four (4) bedrooms;
  • Two (2) full bathrooms;
  • Full kitchen;
  • Living space for recreational purposes;
  • Dedicated office space;
  • Covered space for vehicle(s) and equipment.

The expected need is for a period of one (1) year; however, this term is dependent upon the identification, purchase, and construction of a permanent site which will commence early in 2020.
