NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that public workshops for the Parks, Recreation, Trails and Open Space Master Plan are scheduled to be held on October 20, 22, and 27, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Those wishing to participate can join in person (Registration required) at the Puryear Building located at 243 S. The City of Groveland is in the process of developing a Parks, Recreation, Trails and Open Space Master Plan, that will best accommodate your needs while contributing to the overall health and wellness of our residents and visitors. Our goal is to connect residents to the multifaceted benefits of nature through a series of enhancements that will help our City to remain charming.
It is essential to facilitate ongoing conversations where the community’s vision for parks and recreation is incorporated into this process. Receiving your feedback gives us insight into preserving the treasured small town vitality found in our neighborhoods, which will eventually lead to enhanced economic developments for current and future families to enjoy. We are asking residents to join us and participate in one of three Public Workshops.
Please see this as an opportunity to inform us of your unique visions that will shape the framework for this master plan. We have elected Barth and Associates, an independent consulting company, as our partner to administer the workshops. They will compile the data received and present the results to the Mayor and City Council. Your responses will remain confidential.
The time you invest in participating will assist our City in making decisions that further establish Groveland as a wonderful place to live, and an equally wonderful place to visit by our neighboring recreation enthusiasts.
