An IRS Form 1099-MISC may be an acceptable alternative to an IRS Form 1040 Scheduled C as a required document. When a 1099-MISC is submitted as an alternative, the Grant Administrative Team may reach out to the applicant to provide additional information, if needed.
The application process begins on October 26, 2020 and closes when all funds have been distributed. All applications and reviews must take place prior to December 31, 2020.
This is a grant program, which is not a loan. Therefore the funds DO NOT need to be paid back.

Your application and attached documents will be evaluated for program eligibility and completeness. This process will include a verification process to confirm validity of the information provided. Applicants will be notified by email when a decision has been made on your application.
Grants will be awarded to qualified business and organizations on a first come, first serve basis, based upon the eligibility, the accuracy and the completeness of the application. So, an incomplete application will cause a delay in the review process which may be impacted by depletion of funds. Until programs funds have been depleted, if your application is determined to be incomplete upon initial review, your application will be forwarded onto a next-level reviewer who will reach out via email to address incompleteness. In order to be awarded a grant, the issue(s) and/or missing information would need to be submitted, reviewed, and approved before the allocated funding is depleted.
The City of Groveland offers a variety of facilities which are available for rental for your special event.
You may reserve the pavilions or the gazebo at no charge, unless your event falls under the category of a Special event.
Special event means any organized gathering of persons, comprised of groups or individuals, including gathering at shows, exhibitions, demonstrations, or assembly, other than the normal day-to-day or seasonal operations or concerns of licensed establishments within the city. The term "special event" shall include but is not limited to entertainment festivals, parades, fairs, festivals, carnivals, circuses, church events, athletic events, arts and crafts events, and special promotional activities for commercial establishments, such as holiday events, contests, on-location radio promotions, and shows.
In the case of special events, an application must be submitted in order to obtain a special event permit for sole use during the period of time specified on the application, not to exceed 12 hours per application. A deposit of $100.00 shall be required to insure prompt clean-up of the property on which the special event is conducted. The deposit shall be made at the time of receipt of the special event permit. If the property is not cleaned of all equipment, debris, signs and other items associated with the special event within 48 hours of the expiration of the permit, the deposit will be forfeited.
The fee for rental of the community centers is dependent upon the type of event. Please see the fee schedule below for specifics. You may submit your rental applications online, but you will be required to pay your deposit at City Hall. For more information, please contact City Hall at 352-429-2141, ext. 222.

Yes! Located on Maravilla Way in the Marina del Rey subdivision, Ronald Sefton Gaffney Memorial Park was opened to the public on Memorial Day 2017. The 7.5 acre park site amenities include a parking lot, restroom building, dog park facilities, grassed nature trails, and other associated infrastructure.

Come into city hall with your final HUD statement and drivers license. Staff will then scan in your drivers license and do a quick utility credit check which will determine if a $75 or $150 security deposit will be required. you will also be required to pay a $25 service fee.
