Located at South Main Avenue and Elberta Street, Jimmy Thomas (J.T.) Memorial Park is for our sports-minded residents. Home of the South Lake Dixie Youth baseball league, J.T. Memorial Park features T-Ball, Minor, and Major league fields. A children’s playground is also available for our younger guests. Come on out!
Jimmy Thomas Memorial Park is named after 2 year old Jimmy Thomas, who tragically drowned after riding his tricycle off the dock at Lake David on New Years Day 1948. He was the grandson of Groveland High School's first principal, and Groveland City Council member (1924-1926) and Mayor (1926-1928 &1956), Lacy Glenn Thomas, Sr.
